Gourmet hot chocolate mix makes a great hostess gift, it’s inexpensive yet thoughtful and homemade. Easy to make simply mix the following ingredients and add them to a glass jar or other pretty container.
Place it in a jar or plastic bag and attach directions.
Recipe 1:
SUPER RICH HOT CHOCOLATE IN A JAR MASTER MIX
Put powered dry milk and chocolate chips in a blender, or food processor, do one half of the mix at a time
Blend until it is “finely ground”. If you blend too long , it will cause it to clump-up in the blender.
Place in an airtight container.
Use 2. heaping tablespoons per mug of boiling water.
- Cocoa-Mocha – Add 1/2 cup instant coffee to the mix.
- Orange-Cinnamon Sip – Add 2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1 tsp. of grated orange peel and to the mix
- Scotchy’s Cup – Decrease chocolate chips by 1 cup, and add 1 cup butterscotch chips.
- Peanut Butter Cup – Decrease chocolate chips as above, and add 1 cup peanut butter chips.
- Minty Hot Chocolate – Decrease chocolate chips above, and add 1 cup mint- chocolate chips.
- Rasberry-Coco-Loco – Decrease chocolate chips as above, and add 1 cup of Raspberry-chocolate chips.
- Milk Chocolate Chocolate – Decrease chocolate chips as above, and add 1 cup of Milk Chocolate chips!
- Malted Milk Chocolate – Prepare as for Milk Chocolate Chocolate, except substitute 1/2 cup of malted milk powder for 1/2 cup of powdered milk.
HOT COCOA MIX
Again, it’s as easy as stir and store.
Use 3 heaping tablespoons per mug of hot water.
No blender required
HOT WHITE CHOCOLATE
Blend all ingredients in blender only until finely ground.
Do it in a couple of batches, don’t over grind or it will clump-up in the blender.
To use add 3 heaping tablespoon to a hot mug of water.
This is really good with a cinnamon stick as a stirrer.
